EDDIE SÁNCHEZ is a New York City-based filmmaker born in Portland, Oregon to two Mexican-American immigrants from rural Jalisco.

Eddie directs, edits, produces, and writes original films, videos, and series that explore interpersonal politics, class, language, race, and intimacy with humor and compassion. His credits include Screwed, a web series written and created by Ben Weiss, music videos for up-and-coming recording artists, and custom promotional material for the Theater Development Fund. His first feature-length narrative film, Ivy, is in development, and his feature-length documentary, Mexicanamerican, is in post-production.

Eddie’s film acting credits include the miniseries Insignificant Other, and the feature films When Icarus Fell, and Princess Cyd (one of Vanity Fair’s 10 Best Movies of the 2010s). On stage Eddie starred in Local Theater Company’s Paper Cut (Production of A Play Of The Decade, Denver region, BroadwayWorld).
